Architect, Director of Housing GVRD, Developer, sometime trombone player; lover of life, Dixieland jazz and all things Roman. Bill "shuffled off this mortal coil", just 23 days shy of his 86th birthday.

Born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, he immigrated to Canada in 1966 and settled in Vancouver in 1971. Bill's love for family was unyielding, absolute and infinite. He taught us the meaning of love, how to be a family, how to say I'm sorry and most importantly, how to say goodbye. Bill died peacefully at home surrounded by his proud and loving family. Thank you to Joan, Cheryl, all the other caregivers and the palliative care team for making that possible.

He leaves behind wife Pam of 60 years, daughters Barbara (Wayne) and Beverley (Mark), and grandchildren Matthew, Alexandra, and Christian. Bill loved a good party therefore a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 21 at Waterview 1661 Granville St. at 1 p.m.
