It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved husband at the age of 88.
Walter is survived by his wife Margarita, his son Kevin, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Ian.
Walter was a kind and gentle person with a sharp wit and calm demeanor that made those around him feel at ease. Anyone who knew Walter, knew his passion for architecture which became his profession; his love of cycling, dogs and jazz music. From the condolences I have been receiving, I realize how many people loved him.
My most sincere thanks to the staff at Purdy Pavilion at UBC for the great care and support they gave to Walter.
There will be no funeral or memorial service at Walter's request.
