Vinko Burić
July 1, 1937 (Mirlović Zagora, Dalmatia, Croatia) – January 18, 2023 (New Westminster, BC, Canada)
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Predeceased by his sisters Kata/Janja, Nevenka, and Boja (in infancy), Vinko is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dragica, children Zdenka, Diana and Tony, grandchildren Georgia and Laura Maclean, Ella and Adam Buric, daughter in law Irena Cecic Buric and son in law Alec Maclean, brother Ante (Bozica) and his family in Canada and brothers Ferdinand (Vinka) and Martin and their families in Croatia, the families of his late sisters, brother-in-law Vice and sister in law Zorka and their families and all his favourite nieces and nephews (‘faver’ for all those who knew him).
A vital, happy man who always looked on the bright side, loved his family, believed in God, held to his faith, he always wished and prayed for good things for everyone. Healthy until the end, his heart gently stopped working.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary, Croatian Catholic Parish, 3105 East 1st Avenue, Vancouver. Interment to follow at Ocean View South Mausoleum, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby.
Visitation at Kearney Funeral Home, 4715 Hastings Street, Burnaby on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
