Vilma Zilli passed away peacefully in Surrey, BC on January 14, 2022 at the age of 84.
Vilma is survived by her sister Irene, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Lino, mother Rosina and sister Mara.
Vilma was born to parents Lino and Rosina on April 5, 1937, in Trail, BC. In her youth Vilma was very involved in sports, especially softball and basketball. After high school she went to nursing school and spent over 30 years as a nurse. Vilma was fortunate to spend some of her early years in nursing working in different countries.
Vilma was an avid traveler and was able to see many wonderful places around the world. In her retirement she continued to travel, golf, cross-country ski, play weekly bridge with her friends and volunteered at the Red Cross.
Throughout her life Vilma was a generous and caring person who was able to support many charities, help take care of and support many family members and friends. She maintained many childhood friendships throughout her life. Vilma touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
