MILLER – Victor Hyacinth.  With sadness in our hearts and many good memories of our father, a great gentleman, we announce the passing of Vic on March 19, 2024.  Predeceased by his wife Minnie of 52 years (2005), son David (1988), daughter-in-law Britta (2017), great-granddaughter Blake (2016), family and many friends who have gone onto the Lord before him.  Father to James (Mercedes), Dennis (Kimberly), Ronald (Michelle Smart), Joe (Maureen), Douglas (Carmen). Grandfather to Jason (Sarah), Stacie, Jennifer (Aaron), Jeffrey (Marie), Adam, Nicholas (Jodi), Thomas (Amanda), Nicole, David, Erick (Marissa Garisto), Jacob, Aidan, Lukas.  Great-Grandfather to Tatum (Ishika Luthra), Clare (Ben Nichol), Natasha, Dayton, Shayla, Gabriella, Chessa, Nathan, Jack, Mason, Ivy, Mackenzie, Connor.  Born August 6, 1930, in Kingsford, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Clara Miller, he grew up having many enjoyable experiences with his siblings on the Miller Farm.  In his late teens he made his way west with his family and settled in Richmond.  While out and about he met a Saskatchewan gal, Minnie, and they made a life together in Vancouver, raising six boys and later settling in Surrey.  His was ‘a life well lived’ among family, friends, and his strong Catholic fraternity.  While very involved in his career in Forestry (Tahsis) and Construction (Construction Aggregates, Miller Contracting), he always made time to be involved, volunteered, and served many causes during his Life - Holy Family Parish Council, Knights of Columbus Council 4615 (Charter Member), Simon Fraser 4th Degree Assembly, BC Purchasing Management Executive, Grandview Minor Hockey Executive, Edelweiss Credit Union (President).  He will forever be remembered for his warm, engaging spirit and the Miller traditions of Dancing the Bride Over the Table and Miller Schnapps.  Prayer Service to be held on Tuesday April 9, 2024, at 8:00 pm at St. Matthews Parish, 16079 88 Ave., Surrey.   Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday April 10, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Matthews Parish.  Co-celebrants Fr. Patrick Le and Fr. Mark Schwab.  A special thank you to the staff at Laurel Place – Ferndale for their care and support of our father.
