Fung, Valerie passed away peacefully on March 31, 2021 in Vancouver. She was predeceased by her father, Peter Fung and is survived by her mother Burna, brothers Patrick (Beverley), Michael (Caroline), nieces Laura (Michael) and Denise and many extended family members. She was born in Vancouver on January 20, 1953, grew up in the Little Mountain area and graduated from Charles Tupper Secondary. She was a lifelong employee of Canada Customs downtown and at the airport before retiring in 2013. She was a companion for Mom after Dad passed away in 2004, greatly enjoying Scrabble games, watching game shows on TV, daily walks around Kerrisdale, dining out on Sundays and shopping. Uniquely, she had an excellent memory for birthdates and anniversaries for many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Valerie will be interred at Ocean View Cemetery adjacent to Dad in the South Mausoleum.
