Ursula Kaiser, was born January 24, 1937, and passed away on January 24, 2024 after a heart-breaking journey through dementia.

A funeral service for Ursula will be held on February 1, 2024, 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Parish 8842 119 St, Delta, BC where friends and family will come together to honour and remember her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Born in Prussia, Ursula was living in Germany, when she responded to a pen pal request and met the love of her life, Frank Kaiser. She moved to Vancouver BC, Canada in 1957 to marry Frank and begin their life together. They would have five children, John, Regina, Angela, Michael and David.

Ursula was the heartbeat of our family. Gatherings were centered around family and friends, and the amazing meals she prepared, and of course the cakes and cookies she baked. We fondly remember the Christmas stollen and hampers she prepared every year, and how she made sure every child received one, no matter where they lived in the world.

A woman of self-discipline, Ursula learned to cook and bake, and speak English on her own. When she left Germany, she was an accomplished seamstress and her hands were always working on something creative, including crocheting, needlepoint, sewing and gardening.

Ursula was passionate about flowers, and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her garden. She devoted endless hours and love to create a garden of serenity that brought beauty into the lives of those blessed to spend time in it. Ursula would go on to create a home-based flower arranging business, bringing her love of flowers into the lives of others.

Ursula was predeceased by her parents, her husband Frank, her youngest son David and son-in-law Steven. She is survived by her children John (Susan), Regina (Mike), Angela (Eddie) and Mike (Sue), as well as her grandchildren, Chris (Krista), Angela (Rick), Karina (Joseph), Kazandra, Krystyna, Klaryssa, Tristan (Stasia), Sara, Amberlie (Sebastian), Cameron, Alec, Ashton, Clara, Noemie, and great grand-children Jonas, Colette, Lily and Freddie, who will forever cherish the memories of her love and guidance.

In a deeply symbolic ending Ursula took her last breath on her birthday, just as her husband Frank took his last breath on his birthday.

While we mourn her physical absence, we take solace in the knowledge that her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched. We will miss her greatly.

As we bid farewell to Ursula Maria Kaiser, let us remember her with smiles and gratitude for the love she brought into our lives. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration in the days ahead.
