Tristan “Cheetos” Dixon, beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to many, died on September 24, 2022, at the age of 20. Tristan was a member of the Liard First Nation.

Tristan was born on September 21, 2002, in New Westminster B.C., and grew up in South Burnaby. As a child, Tristan spent time playing soccer, bike riding, skateboarding, and enjoying time with friends and family. Tristan attended Byrne Creek High School, where he played rugby and basketball. Prior to Byrne, Tristan attended Edmonds Elementary School.

In the year prior to his death, he met Lilliana Machuk, who he loved very much. Tristan and his puppy, Hugo lived with Lili, in Coquitlam, B.C.

Throughout his childhood and teenage years, Tristan enjoyed camping with his father, sisters, brother, cousins, Aunties and Uncles. Tristan loved the water, enjoyed travelling and was looking forward to spending more time doing the things he loved.

Tristan was smart, resourceful, ambitious, and determined. He was a planner, and he hoped one day to go to business school.

Tristan made friends wherever he went: he was kind, and always had a caring word for those he knew.

Tristan was so, so loved, and he will be dearly missed.

Tristan is survived by father, Michael MacKenzie; mothers Darlana Tibbett and Glenda MacKenzie; brothers and sisters, Tylor MacKenzie, Brittanee MacKenzie, DorriAnna MacKenzie, Preston Dixon, Nathan Jakob and Jersey Gellerman; grandmothers, Marion MacKenzie and Evelyn Tibbett,  aunties and uncles, Michelle and Anthony Booker, Sabrina Tibbett, Darwin Andrew Tibbett, Priscilla Saywalus, and Alisha Pirs; and, cousins, Domunique Booker, Tarrence Booker, Tatiyanna Tibbett and Tiea Arabe, Jordanna Tibbett, Levi Tibbett, Nathanial Tibbett, Zachy Tibbett, Darren Cress, all of whom loved Tristan more than words could ever express.

Services will be on Friday October 14th, at Kearney Columbia-Bowell Chapel (219 6th Street, New Westminster, B.C.).  Viewing will take place from 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm followed by a Funeral at 1:00 pm.

Following the Service, a reception will be held at Sapperton Hall, from 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm, at 318 Keary St., New Westminster, B.C.
