Tressa Kay Fox (nee Scott) was born on November 26th, 1949 in Athens, Ohio. She passed away at Vancouver General Hospital, BC, on June 18th, 2018 at the age of 68. Predeceased by her father Ronald in 2008, her mother Donna in 1990 and her brother Jeff in 2016. Survived by her husband Mark, and sons Jacob Alexander and Aaron Nathaniel.

Tressa had the unique ability to impact the lives of people around her no matter how brief or fleeting the encounter. Her enviable fearlessness, insatiable intellectual curiosity and at times savage wit made her presence unforgettable. She didn’t always need adventure or stimulation; in many ways she was content spending her time indoors, with her cat Skye, close to the phone where she communicated with friends around the globe. Her love of classical literature, music and film enriched her personal life and were a source of constant inspiration. A natural sense of wonder made her appreciate the small things in life and ultimately find peace.

Tressa was buried on the Hornby Island, the place she loved so much, in the Community Cemetery, on June 20th, 2018. We would like to acknowledge the exceptional care that she received at Vancouver General. Donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
