Tomas Oca, born on December 22, 1937, in Mangaldan, Pangasinan, Philippines, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024, at Belvedere Care Center, surrounded by his loving family.  He was 86 years old.

Tomas is survived by his devoted wife, Salud Rausa, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.  Together, they raised two children, Christopher (Melody) and Lisa (Tom), and were blessed with seven grandchildren:  Gemma, Maximus, Tiana, Jaden, Legacy, Lucas, and Benjamin, and two great-grandchildren, Adeleine and Jeremiah.

In 1969, Tomas and his family emigrated to Canada, where he worked tirelessly to support them.  He spent many years on the production line at Varta Battery in Richmond, and later at Money's Mushroom, where he was a valued employee.

Tomas will be remembered for his quiet strength, dedication to his family, and unwavering work ethic.  His legacy lives on through the love and memories shared by those who knew him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Burnaby.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Tomas will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.  His memory will forever remain in our hearts.
