Our friend Tom was born in Germany on September 10, 1950 where he lived for the first six years of his life before moving to Montreal. Growing up in Montreal for 24 years he developed a keen intellect and sense of humour. He was an avid fan of Formula One, and studied military history – both were his passions. After a one year stint in San Francisco, he moved to Vancouver in September of 1981 with his loving wife Doreen. Here, Tom made a name for himself in the air freight business enjoying decades of success in sales working for Burlington Northern, Blaiklock, and, most recently Trans Global Solutions. His hard work and affability earned him the right to vacation often with Doreen on a number of cruises throughout the world as they both strived to enjoy life as much as possible.
The easiest thing to remember about Tom is his ability to make us all laugh and enjoy ourselves with his youthful spirit. Tom lived quintessentially young at heart and was an example to us all of an all too rare zest for existence. His kind heart, sincerity, echoing laugh and enthusiasm for life will stay with all those lucky enough to have been close to him.
We love you Tom, thanks for everything.
