Thomas Ray of Langley, BC lived to be over 105 years old and passed away on June 29th, 2024.
Tom was born on January 19th, 1919 in Canora, Saskatchewan. After graduating from high school, Tom spent 4 years in the Air Force before enrolling in pharmaceutical sciences at University of British Columbia. For the next 40 years, Tom worked as a pharmacist at many Cunningham Drugs Stores and Shopper Drug Mart across the lower mainland.
Tom met Katie in 1948 and got Married in 1948. They went on to have two children, Les and Dave. Tom and Katie were married for 65 years when Katie passed away.
Tom’s hobbies included spending time with his family, watching sports and going for walks. He made friends wherever he went and loved sharing stories of his long and exciting life.
Tom is survived by his sons Les and Dave, daughter-in-law Heather, and his three grandchildren, Dana ( Scott ), Sam and Tanner, and his great grandson Maddox.
Services will be held at Saint Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Tuesday July 9th, 2024 at 1030am 550 West 14th Ave Vancouver, Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery 3789 Royal Oak, Burnaby.
