It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas 'Tom' Milburn.

Tom, a dedicated and long-time employee of BC Hydro IBEW258, served the organization for 32 years. His career culminated in his role as the supervisor at BC Hydro's Steel and Transmission Tower and Pole Yard, where his work impacted the entire province of British Columbia.

Tom is lovingly remembered by his family, including his three children, Laureen (Anthony), Colin (Guilly), and Louise (Stuart), his adoring grandchildren, Kimberly, Kaylie, Joel, Scarlette, and William; his former wife Susan, his siblings, Claire, Grant (Bev), Elizabeth, Ted, and Mary (Dennis). Tom was a loved uncle to many wonderful nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Additionally, Tom's memory extends beyond borders, warmly remembered by extended family in the United States (Debbie & Kent), France (The Charles Family) and Australia (The Keogh Family).

Preceded by his parents, Joy and Frank Milburn. Tom was born in Toronto and raised in West Vancouver and later lived with his family in Como, Quebec.

His adventurous spirit was kindled during his time in Prince Rupert, where he explored by boat and was inspired to create a film for the National Film Board of Canada about the deserted fish cannery town of Port Essington.

Tom was most happy when with his family. Whilst his children were younger, time was spent camping and many a road trip to Prince George/Quesnel to spend family. Later there was many a holiday in Australia visiting his daughters and grandchildren. Tom relished time with his family. Tom was also known for his love of long walks in nature and his knowledge of history/current events.

Tom's absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all.
