Thelma was born in Ottawa, the 3rd youngest of 9 children. There she married husband, John and welcomed the birth of their son, David. The family moved to B.C. In 1969. During her working life she held positions as secretary, office manager and finally, apartment manager. Thelma was a gentle, fun loving lady who was friendly with all she met. She loved chatting with people everywhere....at the bus stop, in the grocery store or waiting in line at the bank. She enjoyed bowling, playing Bingo, visiting casinos, either locally or in Reno with her sister, to play the slots and she loved cruising the coast with her niece & nephew. She took delight in her great- great nephew & niece and loved to giggle with them. She was also proud to say, and even demonstrate, that she could still stand on her head at age 75. She would happily admit that her favorite food was chocolate, and cashews were a close second. Thelma's faith was very important to her and she attended St. Augustine's Church in Vancouver for more than 30 years. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 28th at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish 8842-119th Street, Delta, B.C. Father Camillus Temba officiating. She will be sadly missed.
