With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our brother, uncle, and friend, taken from us too early, on February 2nd, 2024. Terry was born on September 29th, 1958, in Regina, Saskatchewan to Donald Christian McCormick and Shirley May McCormick nee Kidd. He is survived by his sister Debbie, niece Eden, (husband, Matthew and great-nephew, Isaac), and nephew Christian Tremayne. In 1968, work and the promise of a new adventure brought the family to Vancouver, and eventually North Delta. Terry graduated from North Delta Senior Secondary in 1976, during which time he excelled in shop class. He went on to complete an apprenticeship as a Red Seal Machinist and spent most of his career working for Anson Industrial, retiring recently as their Shop Supervisor. Terry was well-respected by his coworkers and truly loved his work. In 1994, he settled in Ladner. He loved the small community and most importantly, the short commute to work. Terry loved to scuba dive and achieved his Master Rescue Certification. He enjoyed exploring and diving along the B.C. coastline and went on several diving excursions while visiting Mexico. In 1990 and again in 1994, Terry became a proud uncle to his niece Eden and nephew Christian. He loved watching them grow up and took the time to bond and goof around with them at every visit. Terry will be sorely missed by us all, and we will continue to keep his memory alive in our hearts. *
