It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts we share that Simone Paula Knutson (nee Brisson) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 6 at the age of 99. Simone was predeceased by her husband Harold Knutson on February 5, 2020. Simone will be greatly missed by her loving daughter Diane Sutherland.

Simone also leaves behind two grandchildren Moy Sutherland Jr. and Pawa Haiyupus, great grandchildren Johnson, Adam, Mianna, and Elias, and two great-great grandchildren Alexus and Cataleya. A special thank you to her loyal circle of friends and cousins who surrounded her with love.

Simone’s passions in life were teaching, gardening, travelling, and painting. Simone is remembered as a thoughtful, loving, kind-hearted person who always remembered and acknowledged birthdays, and special accomplishments. She was admired for her wisdom, strength, creativity, and her passion for life. Simone always made everyone who crossed her path comfortable and was a perfect hostess in her very French way.

Her Family acknowledges with gratitude the compassionate care Simone received at South Granville Park Lodge.
