Tremblay, Sandra Jean passed peacefully on Wednesday December 6th in Vancouver, BC at the age of 78. She is predeceased by the love of her life, Freddie Tremblay. She is sadly missed by her bothers Jim McFeely(Evelyn), Doug McFeely(Gloria) and sister Wendy McFeely. Also missing her are her children, Ronald Tremblay(Ruth), Annette MacKay(Gordon) & Steven Tremblay(Dionne), her grandchildren: Kevin(Alina), Graeme(Charlie), Jeffrey, Rachel, Lincoln, Grant, Kyle, Maya & Emma and her very soon to be born great grandchild, Jackson, son of Graeme and Charlie.
Sandra was a searcher; she went bravely into her quest for meaning, pursuing her personal growth at the Haven institute, PRH, Women’s Sterling and Context Associated Excellence Series. She loved being Freddie’s wife, soul mate and mother of their children, but was un-conventional on how that had to look. Including such things as raising her family on a 50 ft sail boat in the late seventies and living on boats until Freddie passed in 2005. She inspired everyone she connected with to be the best version of themselves they could be in that moment.
Cremation was on December 11th , at Mountain View Crematorium.
There will be an all inclusive event in April we are calling ‘A Walk with Sandra.’ Join us at Aberthau Community Center 4397 West 2nd Ave., Vancouver, April 21, 2018 between 1:30 to 6pm. Drop in any time, open house style with no formal program.
This will be a very Sandra like event to celebrate your personal connection with her. She wants to go for a walk with you on Spanish banks. This was her favorite place to walk and her friend Gerda says they think they walked across Canada on Spanish Banks.
