Salvatore Mauro passed away with his family by his side on March 16, 2024 at the age of 90. Remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Rosetta Anna Mauro (nee Cosco), children: Agata (David), Cinzia (Moreno), Sonia (Jonathan) and Sandra (Derek, decd.) as well as four grandchildren: Zachary (Athea), Massimo (Julia), Nastassja and Samual, and one great grandchild: Theo.
Salvatore was predeceased by his parents Gaetano and Agata and five brothers: Pietro, Vincenzo, Pasquale, Alfredo and Franco and one sister, Teresa. He is survived by his two brothers: Mario (Emma) and Carlo (Franca) and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.
Salvatore will be fondly remembered by his contagious laughter, his quick wit, and his love of a good joke. He loved to sing and share a good glass of wine with his family and friends. He was a generous, loving and truly kind person who will be missed by all.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the care he was provided by the staff at the Ellen Sinclair Kennett Lodge in Surrey.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 4th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Church, 2250 – 150th Street, Surrey, BC. Light refreshments to follow.
