We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear Sahar Saeidi. She leaves behind her common-law partner Alec Eger; parents Mehdi Saeidi and Simin Iranmanesh; brother Fouad and his daughter Kyana; sister Sepi; Alec’s Family; and numerous relatives and friends.
Sahar was born in Iran and moved to Canada when she was 17. She touched the lives of so many and would go out of her way to help others. Her dream was to start her own NPO. She was also passionate about travelling, whether it was planning trips locally or around the world.
Sahar attended the University of Manitoba where she completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in accounting and international business. From there she articled at PwC in Vancouver as well as KPMG in Calgary and had recently completed her master’s in accounting.
Though her life ended tragically, it is her loving and kind character and her exuberance for life that will be remembered and treasured.
A GoFundMe was started under her name, to honor her legacy and pursue causes that were close to her heart. As part of this campaign, Silverleaf will be naming their third school which is currently in construction in Zanzibar, Tanzania, after Sahar – ‘Silverleaf Sahar Academy.’ Thank you for all who have donated.
