Obituary:

It is with great sadness that the family of Ryan Duncan Cowie announces his passing on March 25th, 2023 in Vancouver. Predeceased by his dear parents Fraser and Sheila, he will be lovingly remembered by his wife Claire, sister Katherine (Fernando), nephew Gabriel, and beloved Uncle Wayne.

Ryan was born and raised in Vancouver where he enjoyed camping trips, skateboarding, basketball, and most of all playing guitar. He was a dedicated table tennis player (never Ping Pong!) and placed 2nd Nationally at only 11 years old. He went on to become an accomplished architectural stonemason, enjoying the mathematics and problem solving in his work, not to mention the artistry. Always taking great pride in his work, he was known for showcasing the various projects he had been a part of for friends and family on drive-by tours. He especially enjoyed home life, always maintaining perfectly manicured lawns, hosting memorable BBQ’s, and making memories with his dog Hunter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on May 19th at Kearney Funeral Services on 450 West 2nd Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to PLEA Community Services (https://www.plea.ca/donate-to-plea/greatest-need/)
