Roy Flandez Roca Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Papa, GrandPapa, Uncle, and Kuya, Roy Flandez Roca Sr., on December 25, 2024, at the age of 72. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Mabel.

Roy is survived by his children: Rochelle (Laura), Michelle (Eric), Mitch (Boyet), Roy (Dalisay), Maria Lourdes, and Silas; as well as his cherished grandchildren: Annika, Annebelle, Luke, Liam, Leya, Sashen, Shemri, and Shiri.

He will be deeply missed by his siblings: Bobby, Arn, Kim, Rose Marie, Ann Marie, Mel, Angelica, and Br. Paschasius, along with his nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and friends.

Roy had a deep love for music and was an active member of his church choir, where he played the drums and bass guitar. He also found peace in watching basketball in his quiet moments.

A viewing and prayers will be held at Kearney Columbia-Bowell Chapel 219 Sixth Street, New Westminster, BC on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 6:00 PM. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Our Lady of Mercy Church, located at 7455 10th Ave, Burnaby, followed by a Celebration of Life in the Church reception room.
