It is with heavy hearts that we announce Rosalina passed away peacefully at home in Vancouver, BC at the age of 82. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Peter, of 53 years. He grieves together with their daughter Ann-Marie (Chris); son Andrew (Olivia); grandkids Clare, Julian, and Agnes; and extended family in Vancouver and Hong Kong.
Originally from Hong Kong, Rosalina immigrated to Vancouver in 1967, where she met and married her husband on a snowy day December 19, 1970. Her role as mother was the most important part of her life. Her children grew up with the most incredible role model of self-sacrificial love and devotion. Her lasting legacy and perhaps greatest joy in life, is to have raised her children in the faith and watch them practice this faith within their own families.
Rosalina was an active parishioner at St. Mary’s Vancouver for many years and then, St. Jude’s later in life. She practiced and promoted the Divine Mercy devotion and had a deep affection for St. Anthony of Padua and the Franciscan order. Rosalina’s energy and passion will be deeply missed by all who knew her in life. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Franciscan Mission Associates at www.franciscanmissionassoc.org.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael’s Burnaby on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 11:00 am. Interment followed at Ocean View Burial Park at 2:00 pm.
