Ronald passed away with his wife by his side in his 83rd year. Ron will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Yvonne, son, David (Anita) Leversage, daughter Joanne (Murray) Johnson, Don (Peggy), Ken, Bob (Suzanne), and Brian (Karen) Radford as well as 8 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 1 great granddaughter. Ron had a long career in education and was always strongly committed to his students, especially the importance of their physical fitness. He carried this commitment with him into his career as a school administrator. His many interests included winemaking, wood carving, sailing, and playing guitar. Ron was an enthusiastic naturalist and outdoorsman, a driving force in establishing the Fanny Bay Salmon Enhancement Society as well as a volunteer with the Ship's Point Volunteer Fire Department, and the Fanny Bay Community Association. A Celebration of Ron's Life will take place Monday, June 16th, 2 p.m., in the Chapel at Kearney Funeral Services, 450 W. 2nd Ave, Vancouver (at Cambie).
