Roger was born November 6, 1936 and died peacefully after a long illness August 14, 2022.

After serving in the British Army's Parachute Regiment for two years, Roger emigrated to Canada. 

In 1957 he started his new life in the forest industry, an industry in which he remained for the rest of his life. Roger's passion was always sport. He was an accomplished squash player, often competing at the national level, a fine skier, sailor and an excellent golfer. 

Roger was known for his kindness, old school courtliness and wonderful sense of humour. He will be missed by his sister Wendy and family in the UK, his niece and her family in the US, and his many friends. 

An Eight Bells ceremony and Celebration of Life will soon be held at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, date to be announced.
