Maureen was born in Toronto, Ontario, the youngest and only daughter of William Robinson and
Jean Robinson (nee McCauley). Parents are deceased and survivors include two brothers, Brian Robinson, Bill (William) Robinson, and families, as well as extended family and friends in Canada, Ireland, and Australia. The family moved to Vancouver when Maureen was a child. She attended John Oliver Secondary School and obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education at the University of British Columbia.  She enjoyed teaching in Ontario and later at William Cook Elementary, in Richmond, BC but was unable to continue her career after a short number of years due to a recurrent, episodic, and debilitating illness. Despite ongoing poor health, Maureen found pleasure with friends and neighbours until the past year when she was forced to accept professional medical help. Thanks are sent to medical, nursing, and staff at several Fraser Valley hospitals and to Queen’s Park Care Home in New Westminster, BC. Also thanks to friends and neighbours who helped Maureen prior to, and after her admission to hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice, in memory of Maureen, would be most appreciated
