On September 23, 2023, Roberto Agozar Andal, with his family at his side, passed away into the arms of our Lord in New Westminster, British Columbia. Roberto is survived by his only daughter Annalyn, and beloved grandchildren Robert Edward (Eddie) and Marijka Lourdes (Kiki), and her husband Daniel.
Roberto was born on January 11, 1939, in Taal, Batangas, Philippines. He was the youngest son of Maximo and Macaria Andal and had two older siblings Juan and Corazon. His family moved to San Miguel, Manila in the early 1950s. He attended Far Eastern University for high school and completed his Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1971 at the same institution.
He met his wife, Lourdes while being on a telephone party line and after 5 years of courtship married her on October 16th, 1967, at the Pro-Cathedral San Miguel Church.
Roberto and Lourdes welcomed their newborn daughter on February 19, 1968. They immigrated to Canada in 1974 and resided in New Westminster.
Roberto was heartbroken when he lost the love of his life, his wife, on September 2, 2023. They would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this year, and now are reunited together for eternity.
Vigil Service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Columbia-Bowell Chapel – Kearney Funeral Home, 219 6th Street, New Westminster.
