We Will Always Love You Robert W (Bob) Thompson passed away after a long illness on April 30th, 2010. Bob was born in Vancouver, BC on April 5th, 1930 to Bud and Agnes Thompson. Living in Vancouver until the age of 30, he got restless and decided to move to California, following a career in selling printing paper. His life was so much more though, it was history, it was learning, it was sharing, and most of all it was people. His stories were famous, and his sense of humour was legendary. He was a mentor, a man who deeply cared about others, a man who specifically was drawn to the down and out, and lifted them up to the sky. If success was measured by the number of lives touched in a positive way, Bob was extremely successful. He believed it was all about people, and he showed it every day. He is survived by his pride and joy Bob Thompson of Vancouver BC, his step-daughter Gillian Pauli of Las Vegas, Nevada, and his beloved cat Sweetheart. We will never forget you dad, nor will all the people who's lives you have touched. His dedication, devotion, and guidance have played an immeasurable part in his son Bob's success, and Bob Sr will always be loved and remembered. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 8th at 11:00 am at Columbia-Bowell Funeral Chapel, 219 - 6th Street, New Westminster, V3L 3A3. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local SPCA.
