Robert passed away peacefully in the early morning of April 5th, shortly after his 96th birthday.
At age 15, he was in the Merchant Marine during W.W.II, torpedoed twice near Murmansk. He later worked for the CPR, and finally retired from Crown, Cork and Seal (Burnaby) in 1990 as inspector.
Robert was pre-deceased by three of his four children and is survived by his wife Janet, stepdaughter Marilyn and husband Lenard, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Holy Trinity Cathedral, 514 Carnarvon, New Westminster on May 25th at 2:00 pm.
