Bob was born in Vancouver July 15, 1945. He passed away June 14, 2020 in Surrey after a battle with cancer.
Bob was preceded by his parents Charles & Olive and stepson Chad.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Pam; daughters Amanda & Teresa (Andre); stepdaughters Lesa, Shelley (Wes); grandchildren Curtis, Dustin, Jake, Danica, & Nicholas; brother Dave (Penny); nephews Brenden, Kent (Debbie) & Mike; other relatives and close friends.
He had a lifelong passion for everything to do with cars. A passion that led to 27 years as an employee at BC Hydro as a machinist/ mechanic.
In Bob’s retirement he and Pam enjoyed travelling, mostly in their RV down to Arizona to spend the winter with their many good friends.
Bob was a sociable person with a booming voice and laugh who always had stories to tell. You always knew when he was in the room as it would get very loud. He loved to have BBQ’s and family dinners. He was known for always saying to family and friends stop by for a visit if you are out and about.
A warm, caring, funny, genuine friend is how Bob is described by all who knew him.
He was always willing to help, being the first to volunteer to do anything or to supervise. He loved to keep busy by taking on projects such as working on cars, building things.
His family is shocked and devastated by losing him so soon. We just were not ready. We love him and miss him so much.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A memorial donation in Bobs memory may be made to the Salvation Army Vancouver or the Cancer Society of BC.
The journey continues...
