Bob passed away at the age of 79 in White Rock, BC. Born and raised in the Okanagan by loving parents, Bob earned his B.Comm from UBC in 1964.
Bob's longstanding career as an executive primarily in the packaged goods industry included stops throughout BC, Ontario, and Alberta - with lifelong friends made in each location. Bob had a deep faith and always looked for ways to contribute to his community. He was actively involved in Probus and Rotary and was a past president of White Rock Rotary and a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship. Bob will be remembered for his optimism, resilience, sense of humour and ability to connect with people, including years of great fellowship with many golfing friends (such as the WROFGG).
Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Rosemary, his three children James (Susan), Dave (Josephine) and Beth, his brother Don (Jane), and his grandchildren Trevor, Adam, Casimira, and Antonia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Stanley Galvon at the Chapel at the Gardens of Gethsemani. The family wishes to extend its sincere thanks to Dr. Nolte, his long-time GP, and the staff of the Royal Columbian Hospital for their care. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Covenant House or towards the Hospice at the PAH Foundation Lodge.
