It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Richard (Dick) Mackey, 91 who died peacefully on April 12th.
Richard was very proud to have been born and raised in the small town of Port Colborne, Ontario. He lived there until he was accepted into the RCMP. He eventually was stationed in Richmond B.C. where he raised his family with his beloved wife Patricia. He retired after 33 years, enjoying retirement in White Rock B.C.
His interests and passions were many including; photography, cooking, genealogy and running the RCMP Veterans golf tournament, but his number one passion was his family. He was proud of his children and grandsons and wasn’t afraid to share his pride in their accomplishments!
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann (2014). Survived by his daughter Sandi and son David (Carol), grandsons Ian and Connor. We take immense comfort that he is reunited with Pat and can now hear the angels sing.
“A life well lived, a life loved, a life we will miss dearly”.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Residence for Independent Living Society.
