Rev. Fr. Xavier was born on June 6, 1962 in Ayyampalayam, Tamil Nadu, India, as the first child of Mr. R.J. Dossan and J. Jayamary. He has one brother and two sisters in the person of J. Arutselvan, J. Mariya Vinnarasy and Sr. Nirmala Mariya. He was predeceased by his sister Nirmala Mariya and his Dad Mr. R. J. Dossan.
Fr. Xavier belonged to the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (commonly known as the Pallottine Fathers) and was known for his dedication, hard work, faithfulness, obedience, straight forwardness and sincerity. He was very much gifted with many talents, including music, drawing, art, organizing and counselling. He was a gifted preacher of the Word of God. Over the years he focused on perfection and leading a balanced, systemized lifestyle. He was a man of prayer and a God fearing person. He loved his Priesthood and his Congregation and the Pallottine way of life.
He was a wonderful human being. He never hesitated to help people who were in need of assistance and over the years he sponsored the education of many children, giving them the chance to thrive and develop their own gifts. Regardless of where he was, he always lived for others and not himself.
Fr. Xavier’s death is an especially great loss for the Pallottine community, as well as for all the parishioners he ministered to as a priest. It is truly a great loss to each and every one of us.
May his soul rest in peace.
