Short and sweet like you were.
It is with tremendous grief and sadness we announce the passing of Rene at his home, in his bed with his woman Cheryle and his two other girls Ruby and Baby (his cats) by his side.
One thing we all relate to is Rene’s gentle face and gentle soul.
Rene was a welder by trade at the shipyards. I’ve been told he was on of the best…Loved his work.
His greatest passion in life was golf and he was pretty good at that too… Don’t need anyone to tell me this. I was an eyewitness to his skill sitting in the cart beside him. (Almost) the only time he had a temper was when he hit a bad shot.
Rene my love we all miss you… Remembering you is easy I do it everyday, but missing you is a heart ache that will never go away.
A TRIBUTE TO YOU:
I watched you suffer day by day; it caused me bitter grief;
To see you slowly fade away; and could not give relief.
Your weary hours and days of pain; your troubled nights are past;
And in my aching heart I know; You have found sweet rest at last.
‘Tis sweet to know we will meet again; Where parting is no more;
And my dear husband I love so well; Has only gone before.
God knows how much I miss you; He counts the tears I shed;
And whispers to me, “Hush, he only sleeps, Your husband is not dead”.
Some day, some time, my years shall see; The face I love so well.
Some day, some time, your hand I’ll clasp; And never say farewell.
