He died suddenly on a warm sunny day doing what he loved - GARDENING. Born in Liverpool, October 5, 1928 and moved to Canada as a young boy. His love of life and people were an inspiration to all of us and left an indelible mark on our hearts. He was Dean of Career programs, Founding Father of the co-op education program, and established the nursing program at Langara College. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years Dianne "Dee", his children Philip, Stephen (Naoko), Kathy, Stuart (Anita), Peter (Alice) and grandchildren Mariko (Shaun), Keiko, Tomoyuki, Tristan & Chloe; his brother John (Raymonde) and sister Audrey (Marcel); and his faithful friend Truffles. He was also very, very fond of his often visited relatives in England, the Stringers, the Duffys, the Hagans, the Kerrs and the Connollys. Prayers will be offered on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 7:30 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 3776 W. 28th Ave, Vancouver. The mass service of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 30, 2010. Rev Paul Smith, OFM celebrant. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
