Born in Arborfield in rural Saskatchewan on January 28, 1923, Pat lived a full life in Vancouver and Ottawa and passed away the morning of September 11, 2013 in her 91st year at Crescent Gardens Retirement Residence in Surrey, B.C. of natural causes. Pat will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all those who loved her and for her “joie de vivre” and the twinkle in her eyes. She loved to play bridge and cook for and travel with family and friends and often recalled many fond memories of family gatherings and her journeys. She was known for her home remedies that brought comfort for common ailments. Pat enjoyed spending time and sharing funny life stories with her grandchildren and was skillful and prolific at knitting beautiful Cowichan sweaters for everyone she loved.
