It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful Husband, Father, Nonno, and Bisnonno.
Pietro Simone was born in Bisceglie, Italy on August 7, 1935, and passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 3, 2024.
Predeceased by his wife Caterina, Pietro is survived by his loving children; Nick (Cathy), Mary (Shahriar), Vito (Susan), Joanne (Leo), and Tony (Alberta); 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by extended family members in Canada and Italy.
The family wishes to thank Cascade Care Home in Burnaby for their care of Pietro.
Viewing will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Kearney Burnaby Chapel 4715 Hastings Street, Burnaby.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Holy Cross Church 1450 Delta Avenue, Burnaby. Followed by an entombment at Ocean View Burial Park Abbey Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Society.
