It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Leung announce his passing peacefully in his sleep on July 18, 2021 at the age of 87.
Peter is survived by his 3 children: David (Amy), John (Nancy), Jenny (Allan) and his 5 grandchildren: Ethan, Nathan, Christopher, Alyssia and Joshua. He is survived by his wife Pui Yu.
Peter was born on 27 November, 1934 in Hong Kong. He was a Mechanical Engineer working at Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO) in the Engine Overhaul department with high recognition for this intelligence, honesty and hard-working attitude. He later brought his family to Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1975 where he and his wife raised their three children. In the 80’s where he had started his own company (Precise Metal Works), he operated it for over 10 years then sold his business in early 90’s for retirement and began to enjoy his life with his wife travelling around the world. Peter is a loving grandfather of 5 grandchildren. He was remembered as a determined, capable, kind hearted and straight forward person who will tell it like it is. He was always willing to offer his help to family and others with his engineering knowledge and DIY fixing.
A private viewing is scheduled at Kearney Funeral Services. Due to BC provincial health restrictions, the viewing is reserved for family and invited guests only. A grave side service will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, Heavens Gate, in Burnaby, BC.
