It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul John Nemersky who passed away suddenly at home the morning of Feb 10, 2010 surrounded by his wife and son. He is survived and will be missed by his wife Benigna Nemersky of 26 years, his son John Paul, sister Marge Grabarevic, brother in law Joe Grabarevic, niece Josephine Grabarevic, nephew Matthew Grabarevic as well as his numerous cousins. Paul was born in Seattle Washington on June 30,1932. He was raised in Vancouver British Columbia at an early age and attended Queen Alexandra elementary school followed by high school at Vancouver Technical he then went on to work in the printing industry for more then 40 years. Paul was a devout Catholic and served St.Jude's church for more then 50 years right up until his passing. A member of the Knights of Columbus and Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic organizations for more then 40 years he devoted his life to the caring of others. His kind and gentle spirit was shown through his work and dedication to helping the less fortunate no matter what his circumstance was. Paul touched everyone he knew with his cheerfulness, warmth, generosity and humour he knew exactly how to put a smile on someone's face with the greatest of ease. The love and warmth he showed to his family was second to none he was truly a blessing sent by God. Paul lived a long and happy life and his gentle and humble spirit was shining brightly up until the very day he passed. Prayers will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Feb 18, 2010 at St.Jude's Parish and Shine 3078 Renfrew Street Vancouver B.C. Where the Mass of Catholic burial will be celebrated at 10am Feb 19, 2010. Internment to follow at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery 15800 32 ave Surrey B.C. In lieu of flowers donations to the St.Vincent de Paul Society 2743 Main Street Vancouver would be greatly appreciated.
