It is with a heavy heart that the family of Paul Rogan share the news of his passing on December 19th, 2023, after a brief illness. Paul was born November 3, 1943, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He was the first of George and Mary Rogan's 11 children.
He is survived by his wife Jutta; a proud father to children Anne (David), Matthew (Susan), Marcella (Glenn), Karolin (Wilson), Patrick and grandchildren; Kyle, Ciaran, Aidan, Emma and Ethan. He is also survived by his brothers; Gabriel, Sean, George, Anthony and Jim and sisters; Theresa, Marcella, Eileen, Monica and Frances.
After emigrating to Vancouver in 1974, Paul enjoyed a successful career as a painter and decorator, first with UBC, then starting his own business, Forty Shades of Green. Paul enjoyed a wonderful life with Jutta and took delight in his entire family, friends, and neighbours. He worked hard, but he also enjoyed lively gatherings, outings to the pub, (including the one he lovingly created in his garage) and traveling. Some memorable trips included cruises, road trips in the U.S. and wonderful holidays in Hawaii, Germany, and of course his beloved Ireland.
‘Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.’
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, at 12 p.m. at St. Peter’s Church, 330 Royal Avenue, New Westminster to be followed by a Christian Burial at the Gardens of Gethsemani, 15694 32 Avenue, Surrey BC.
