Our beloved Patrizia (Patricia) lost her courageous three year battle with ovarian cancer on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving husband and family. Her will to overcome this terrible illness reflected her enormous strength in the face of the most difficult challenge in life and her devotion to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and nonna as well as an incredibly talented and accomplished business person. She was a generous and caring friend to many people. Patricia was as beautiful inside as she was outside, though she was modest in both regards. We love her dearly and will miss her forever. We know she is in a safe place now and will be with us always.
Patricia leaves behind: husband, Ray Corrado; son, Jesse (Stacey) Cale; parents, Abramo and Edvige Massitti; siblings, Orest (Susan) Massitti and Paola (Paul) Smith; grandchildren, Parker and Morgan Cale; nephews, Andreas and Mateo Massitti; and nieces, Emily and Kyra Smith; step sons, Chris (Tina) Corrado and Mark (Katerina) Corrado; and grandchildren, Alexander and Andrew Corrado.
We thank the wonderful staff at the British Columbia Cancer Agency who treated Patricia with hope and kindness, in particular Dr Paul Hoskins. In addition, we are grateful to the surgery team at Vancouver General Hospital, especially Dr Dianne Millar. Dr Paul Klimo helped Patricia throughout her illness as did our devoted GP, Dr Greg Phillips and our dear family friend, Dr Gordon Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, Patricia’s and Ray’s wishes are for donations to be made to the British Columbia Cancer Agency in her name.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of Patricia’s life will be announced at a later date.
