Passed away peacefully in Vancouver on August 21, 2016 at the age of 93. Although there is sadness at her death, family and friends are able to take comfort from contemplating the riches of her life.

Her husband Mike, and son David predeceased her. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Boris (Agnes) of Regina, Leonard (Carol), Eugene (Janice) both of Campbell River, BC; brothers, Richard, Walter and Ted. Olga also leaves behind a large extended family as well as many good friends.

Olga was born and raised on a farm near Alvena, Saskatchewan In 1942 she married Mike and moved to a farm in the Grandora district, then it was on to Saskatoon. They moved to Vancouver in the 1960’s. After Mike’s passing in 1998, Olga lived at home until 2010 and subsequently moved to Braddan Private Hospital in Vancouver until her passing.

Mom left a legacy of love, selflessness, strength and family values. Church was an important part of her life; she instilled that faith in her sons.

Olga was a dedicated homemaker, took pride in preparing meals for family and friends, she still found time to do a variety of crafts, keep a daily diary, go salmon fishing with Mike and play cards with close friends on a weekly basis. Olga was a loving wife and mother; she touched the hearts of all who knew her. We love her and will miss her dearly.

Sincere thanks to the staff at Braddan Private Hospital in Vancouver for the excellent care they provided during the past 6 years.

A service will be held at a later date.
