It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved, Nuno.

Nuno passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 13, 2019 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by his father Manuel H. Correia, his mother Olivia F. Correia and his sister Donzilia C. Franco.  He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of almost 45 years, Maria Antonia, son Kurtis (Megan), daughter Jessica (David), and his sister Esperanca Machado, as well as many other friends and family members.

Following his service in the Portuguese Army for which he received a medal, Nuno immigrated to Vancouver from the Azores, Portugal in 1968.

In 1973, he met the love of his life, Maria Antonia and they were married a year and a half later. Nuno and Maria Antonia shared a beautiful life together that was followed by the birth of their son, Kurtis and daughter, Jessica. Nuno was a devout family man who worked diligently for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children and was very proud of them.

Nuno was an avid gardener, he spent many hours tending to his beautiful backyard and his large Koi fishpond which was his pride and joy. He was also a dog lover who enjoyed spending time with his loyal and beloved yorkie, Ricky. Nuno was a warm and joyful man who brought much love and laughter to those around him. His gentle spirit and kindness were infectious not only to his family and friends, but to anyone who was fortunate enough to spend time with him. He will always be in our hearts and remembered forever.
