After a very long and intense struggle against a number of serious illnesses, Norm passed away at Evergreen House in North Vancouver. He was born in Cranbrook, B.C., and at the age of 12 moved to "his" Vancouver - where he lived out his life.
He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn, who has been very supportive during his many illnesses. They were married almost fifty years. He is also survived by one brother Bill of Victoria, as well as a number of very capable caregivers. A large number of close friends, former students, and neighbors will also mourn his passing.
Norm was an Educator all his life, and retired as Principal of Vancouver Tech. He was active in educational organizations - serving them for many years. Students and their successes were his passion.
No service by request. A gathering of friends and colleagues will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you honor Norm's memory in your own way.
