It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Noe Mastroianni...
Born in S'Angelo D'Alife, Italy on January 16th, 1930, he is survived by his wife of 53yrs Ines who he adored unconditionally, daughter Sonia (Grant), and Son Enzo (Robyn). One of 6 children, he was predeceased by his sisters Annunziata, Assunta, and Loretta and his brothers Antonio and Luigi.
Noe slipped away on April 10th, 2021 peacefully. In 1969, on the very same day April 10th, Noe left Italy to start his life with his new family in America and chose to put his feet on the ground in Vancouver, Canada.
An avid news enthusiast, Noe loved to read the newspaper so he could stay up on current events and he never shied away from a good discussion where he could impart his knowledge and provide words of wisdom, especially during difficult times.
A carpenter for over 30yrs, Noe built many landmarks in the city with his hard-working hands throughout Metro Vancouver. Noe built our family home in 1977. It was his castle for us and his finest work! Many can enjoy his life's work in construction through the countless projects he led over the years as a Superintendent for numerous developers. Later in life, he reflected that his only regret was that the castle he built for the family home had too many stairs.
Noe devoted almost 50 years of his time to his parish of St. Helens. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. His hard work and contribution helped the congregation build the church they use today. Noe gave a lot more than he ever took for himself. Others always came first! He was a gentle man with a giant heart who was always willing to help others and made so many sacrifices in order to provide the best for his family!
He will be sadly missed by his family and all those he touched throughout his life.
Due to Covid restrictions a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at St. Helen’s Church, Burnaby. Entombment at Ocean View Burial Park - South Mausoleum.
