Neil Londry passed away in comfort on June 21 surrounded by his loving family in his Coquitlam home. Neil is predeceased by wife, Gail Londry, father, Lorne Tennant Londry and mother, Mildred "Lenore" Londry. He is survived by wife Laurie Beausoleil, brother Barry Londry, sisters Bev Crompton and Jackie Sinclair, sons Russell Londry and Michael Londry and grandchildren Hudson, Freya, Braden, Amelie and Grace Londry. Neil was an avid volunteer especially during his career as a teacher. He organized countless events including track meets, ski trips to Mount Washington, golf tournaments and staff BBQs to name a few. He will be remembered for many things, including his love of music and singing but especially his sense of humour. Never a day passed without the world smiling and laughing a bit more from one of Neil's jokes. Neil was a lifetime devoted athlete starting as a young boy who then didn't know how to swim but was chosen as a member of the YMCA Flying Sharks. Neil went on to play among other sports, lacrosse, football, track and field, golf and after retirement cycling. Neil was an exemplary and inspirational teacher for 33 years. It was a career he loved. He had the rare ability to connect with and often touch the hearts of the toughest students, enabling so many kids to shine, grow and thrive. From mentoring troubled kids to coaching every sports team in the gym and on the field, Neil left a lasting impact on countless individuals. What mattered to Neil above all else was his family. And it is in his role as father and later grandfather where he truly shone. There are no words to express the hole that will be left in the hearts of his family with his passing, however, the lessons he taught in strength, love and resilience will be his lasting legacy and ensure his memory will never be forgotten.
