Murray Greig Dunlop, 73, passed away at his home in Coal Harbour, Vancouver, BC, on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
Fondly referred to as “one of a kind,” “larger than life,” and “a rare beauty” who possessed a giant sense of humour, Murray will also be remembered as the founder of Canterbury Coffee Corporation. For 43 years, Murray gave free rein to his entrepreneurial spirit and poured his heart into his work.
Murray was not all work and no play as his close friends and family well know. More competitive than his impish grin belied, he spent many hours on the greens and at the target shooting range. Always keen for an adventure he travelled widely although he enjoyed his times in Hawaii and Las Vegas the most.
Murray is survived by his partner, Judy, children Mark and Breanne, granddaughter Sienna, sister Lois, two nieces, Liana (Neil) and Marla, and their children, Cole, Kiara and Mahniya.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date, the details of which will be posted online at: www.kearneyfs.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Murray’s memory to the BC Cancer Foundation, the fundraising partner of BC Cancer at: www.bccancerfoundation.com.
