Michelina Moser (nee Di Iorio) passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 4, 2018. Lina was born September 24, 1933, in Morrone del Sannio, Campobasso, Italy, to Giovanni and Celeste Di Iorio. Lina was predeceased by her loving husband Mario in 2007. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her son Rudy, daughter Diana (Callum), and grandchildren Roxanna, Ryan, and Gabriel.

Lina immigrated to Canada aboard the SS Queen Frederica, landing at Pier 21 in Halifax, BC, in 1956 and continued her journey west by train to Vancouver. She met her husband Mario at a dance in Point Roberts and they married in 1960 and raised two children. They enjoyed a wonderful life together. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, music, and meeting new people, but most of all she will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family.

Prayers will be said on Thursday, January 18th, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Augustine’s Church, 2028 West 7th Ave., Vancouver, BC, and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 19th at 11:00 a.m.
