Michael aged 89 years, of Surrey, BC passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital on May 2, 2012.

Michael was born in St. Denis, SK on June 12, 1922.  His love for Evangeline brought him to BC where they married in 1950.  Michael had a successful pulp & paper career working in both Ocean Falls & Prince Rupert.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife Evangeline; his children Gloria, Patrick (Gina), Colleen (Tim) & Richard (Nicole); his grandchildren Dylan, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Alexander (Caryl), Suzanne (Paul), Paul, Cameron & Michael; and his 5 great-grandchildren.

“Smiling Mike” will be missed by his family and by all who knew him.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

A funeral Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Church, 2250 150 Street, Surrey at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012.
