The sudden loss of Mike, the eldest sibling of our Paris family and Leslie’s beloved husband is devastating. He is predeceased by his brother Greg (Libby), and leaves to mourn his siblings Richard (Gail), Madeline (Doug), and Margaret (Garth). In addition, Leslie’s siblings Mary (David), Robert (Kristi), Sine (Dale) and many nieces, nephews and one great niece & 4 great nephews. Also saddened by his loss are Mike’s many friends and former colleagues.
Mike was born and raised in Vancouver, graduated from Vancouver College. He then completed a Bach. of Economics degree at UBC. Before long, his passion and eye for taking photos took him to Langara College to study photography. Mike worked as a photographer in the Eaton’s advertising department for several years. He then moved on with his friend and colleague, Hans Sipma, to open “PS Photography Studio” where they shared the studio for over 20 years. Mike then decided to downsize and run his business from home. Before retiring, he shared his knowledge of photography working in sales at Lens & Shutter. In earlier years, with his photography skills & scuba diving certification, Mike also volunteered many hours with the Underwater Archaeological Society and the Artificial Reef Society.
Mike was a wonderfully kind, supportive person, especially demonstrated in the love and care he showed to Leslie over these past 5 years. His love and concern for his extended family
was always evident throughout the years. Mike will be greatly missed.
