It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, nonna, bisnonna and friend.
Matilde Tomassoli was born in Gubbio, Italy on April 29, 1925, and passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024. Predeceased by her husband Salvatore, Matilde is survived by her loving children Anna (Tony) and Raffaele (Lydia); grandchildren Nancy (Steven), Stepfanie (Christopher) and Samantha (Alexander); and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by extended family members in Canada and Italy.
May she rest in peace and may all the wonderful memories of her be a comfort to all who knew her.
The family wishes to thank Seton Villa and St. Michael’s Care Home in Burnaby for their care of Matilde in her final days.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 2025 Napier St, Vancouver.
